Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases
or PSMID is the country's leading professional association of
specialists in infectious diseases and microbiology. Among its
ranks are members who are the pillars of the subspecialty in
the Philippines, eminent practitioners of national and

We are a society of committed physicians responsive to the needs of
the Filipino people, that exist to promote ethical practice and the
highest standards of health care in the prevention and control of
infectious diseases.
To be the leading authority dedicated to reducing the burden of infectious
disease(s) in the country.

Aims and Purposes
1. To enlighten and disseminate modern technical knowledge related
to microbiology and infectious diseases among its members and
the rest of the medical profession;
